Who We Are

Variety Place Assoc. Inc. is an agency proud to support individuals with intellectual disabilities. We offer residential, developmental and vocational services to these special persons.

Variety Place was founded by a group of concerned parents and community members in Outlook, SK so that their children with disabilities would have more options when they left the school system at 21 years of age. In 1983, Variety Place Assoc. Inc. became a non profit, incorporated organization. The name Variety Place made sense in that the association wanted a name to reflect the “variety” of programming and activities offered.

A Day Program building and a residential space were purchased in the early 1980’s but after a time both spaces became too small for their needs. The original buildings were sold and during the early 1990’s a new Day program building and a new group home were built. As the organization continued to grow, another group home was purchased in 2008 and a third group home was built in 2010-2011.
